Bel Ysoh, 1991, vem construindo um corpo de trabalho de natureza investigativa, relacionando materialidades a conceitos imateriais. Engajando-se em questionamentos identitários, apoia-se nas tensões entre modos de existência e coexistência humana, buscando dessa forma indicar possíveis trajetos para a busca de uma identidade.
Filha de imigrantes coreanos, a artista cresceu em uma comunidade rígida de cultura coreana em São Paulo, nascida no palco de encontro de substratos culturais diferentes, de relações mediadas sempre por sistemas sociais de opressão e de exploração, chamado Brasil.
Tendo como ponto de partida essa vivência múltipla, Ysoh busca propor em seu trabalho reflexões acerca da formação do indivíduo utilizando o objeto (escultura cerâmica), a imagem (pintura, vídeo e fotografia) e performance, trazendo assim ao cerne de seu fazer artístico o relacionamento entre indivíduos, a afronta e a quebra de tradições, com base nas relações entre indivíduo - coletivo.

Bel Ysoh, 1991, has been building a body of work of an investigative nature, relating materialities to immaterial concepts. Engaging in identity questions, she relies on the tensions between modes of existence and human coexistence, thus seeking to indicate possible paths for the search for an identity.
Daughter of Korean immigrants, the artist grew up in a rigid community of Korean culture in São Paulo, born on the stage of meeting different cultural substrates, of relationships always mediated by social systems of oppression and exploitation, called Brazil.
Taking this multiple experience as a starting point, Ysoh seeks to propose in his work reflections on the formation of the individual using the object (ceramic sculpture), the image (painting, video and photography) and performance, thus bringing to the core of his artistic work the relationship between individuals, the affront and the breaking of traditions, based on the relations between individual - collective.
