Um sobrenome que se fixa na lógica de uma tradição patriarcal, “Kwon" possui o significado de “poder e autoridade”. E por meio dos atos “Devir de mim mesma i, ii, iii”, me liberto dessa imposição, e renasço vindo a ser quem de fato sou. Em um ritual, queimo o peso das obrigações que se me impõem, e como um mantra, escrevo e reescrevo, vivendo o condensamento simbólico dessa experiência corpórea. Já a imagem, exprimida da memória da infância, contém o primeiro vislumbre da identidade que está vindo a ser.
Com o novo nome formado a partir das iniciais da minha harmoni (avó), me defino escolhendo as raizes que me nutrem.

A surname (which I inherited from my father) that is fixed in the logic of a patriarchal tradition, “Kwon” has the meaning of “power and authority.” Through the acts “becoming myself i, ii, iii, iv”, I free myself from this imposition, and am reborn becoming who I really am. In a ritual, I burn the weight of the obligations that are imposed on me, and like a mantra, I write and rewrite, living the symbolic condensation of this corporeal experience. The image, expressed from a childhood memory, contains the first glimpse of the identity that is to come.
With the new name formed from the initials of my harmoni (grandmother), I define myself by choosing the roots that nourish me.
