Ao passar cerca de 8 meses na Coréia do Sul, estudando a arte milenar da cerâmica, tomei conhecimento deste artefato, comumente presente na história da cerâmica coreana no séc. XVIII.
O Dal Hang-ali, é uma peça de cerâmica construída a partir de duas semi-circunferências de porcelana - um material considerado nobre até os dias atuais -, se encaixando perfeitamente, e resultando em um formato que se assemelha a Lua (origem do nome).
Nesta releitura, investigo a questão da individualidade, “brincando e deformando” esta forma, tornando cada peça original e única.

Spending about 8 months in South Korea in 2018 studying the ancient art of ceramics, I became aware of this artifact, commonly present in the history of Korean ceramics in the 19th century.
Dal-Han-ali is a ceramic piece traditionally built from two semi-circumferences of porcelain - a material considered noble until the present day -, fitting perfectly, and resulting in a shape that resembles the Moon (origin of the name).
In this re-reading, I free the traditional vase from its bonds and obligations, investigating the issue of individuality, “playing and deforming” this form, making each piece original and unique, affirming and reinforcing the singularity of each being.
